Antispam & Antivirus for Linux

My webhost provider has recently upgraded the cPanel to the Pro version which comes with Calm AV plugin. Hope this will make my life easier by deleting mails with virus attachments at the server end.

* Clam AntiVirus is a GPL anti-virus toolkit for UNIX. The main purpose of this software is the integration with mail servers (attachment scanning). The package provides a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon, a command line scanner, and a tool for automatic updating via Internet. The programs are based on a shared library distributed with the Clam AntiVirus package, which you can use with your own software. Most importantly, the virus database is kept up to date .

* Now we have integrated Full Fledged CLAM Anti virus solution . As a result all emails coming in will be filtered for viruses in realtime Even those that would be send in a zipped file ( something which was slipping through earlier. This is what Manish wrote to me yesterday.

The result of Calm AV will be better along with Spamassasin at Linux servers.

Bar, homebar, barroom...

A counter at which drinks, especially alcoholic drinks, and sometimes food, are served - thats disctionary.com's definition (among many others) of bar. What else a bar can be? Look at Google's definition of bar. In fact Google's define tag can be used to search for anything. Just type the word with a prefix define: e.g. for the word Assam, type define:assam in the search box and click search.

PS. Tulleeho.com sells many things what you need to setup your own homebar.

Taj Mahal - one of the 7 wonders of the world

Taj Mahal: visited again (this is my 2nd time, 1st visit was in 1999) with Gayatri (her first time). Great journey. Though the going was not good as we couldn't book a ticket in advance in the Taj Express; had to pushed ourself into the general compartment .. reluctantly. all the hotels in the Agra Cantonment area, be it small or big, located inside the market or outskirt, share the same menu; expensive: is the precise word. the night stay was at Hilltop Hotel, an old mughal-type house converted into a hotel, better than others as it is located away from the crowds, 'quiet' was the keyword that Gayatry mentioned to the autowala to change his direction towards it. Food quality is below average. So better bring food from outside, if you can. Rs.100 per bottle of Kingfisher. Back to Delhi by Indra Prastha Delux bus. so so..
